South sensuous actress Samantha has grabbed a new film of Mani Ratnam’s Pookadai.Samantha has signed up a new movie in the diretion of Mani Ratnam.
Earlier there was a buzz that Sonam Kapoor might play lead role in Mani Ratnam’s Pookadai bu t finally Samantha bagged the film.Sources confirm, “Mani Ratnam has earlier taken a screen test for Samantha, somehow it failed to click. However again Mani has called her back to play the female lead for his Pookadai.”
Gautham, son of actor Karthik will play the lead role in Pookadai while action king Arjun,Lakshmi Manchu, Pasupathi and Lal will be seen in other key roles in the film.AR Rahman is rendering background tunes for the film
